Remote Monitoring & Diagnosis Service of Offshore Gas Turbine Passes Acceptance Test

On December 24th, the project acceptance meeting for the “First Batch of Innovative Development Demonstration Projects for Gas Turbines – Remote Operation Monitoring and Diagnosis Service Cloud Platform for Offshore Gas Turbine Equipment Based on Big Data Technology” was successfully held, which was organized by National Energy Administration, National Energy Distributed Energy Technology Research and Development (Experimental) Center, CNOOC (China) Co., Ltd., and Research & Development Team from our company.
Industry experts from multiple universities and scientific research institutes listened to the project implementation and application reported by the project team, reviewed all project materials, and after inquiries and discussions, they unanimously agreed to allow the project pass the acceptance of the National Energy Administration for the Innovation and Development Demonstration Project.
This project is jointly undertaken by CNOOC (China) Co., Ltd. and our R&D Team, relying on CNOOC’s remote diagnosis and expert support system upgrade and optimization project for turbine generator units to demonstrate the application of operation and maintenance service technology. The successful acceptance of this project indicates that China has mastered the technology of data platform design and health management system development in the field of offshore platforms and industrial gas turbine health management, has developed the ability of intelligent operation and maintenance for the unit, and has completed independent intellectual property rights. The successful acceptance of this project indicates another milestone in the direction of major technological innovation and development of gas turbines for our R&D Team, following the acceptance of the “25MW Domestic Offshore Platform Gas Turbine Research & Development Project” by National Energy Administration in September 2020!
“Cloud Platform for Remote Operation Monitoring & Diagnosis Services of Offshore Gas Turbine Equipment Based on Big Data Technology” was selected as the first batch of gas turbine innovation and development demonstration projects by National Energy Administration in July 2019. Since the launch of the project, we have successively made breakthroughs in core and key technologies such as industrial big data transmission, storage, and computing platform construction technology for gas turbine clusters, industrial big data mining and intelligent analysis technology, and developed gas turbine remote diagnosis and expert support system. In January 2021, the system was officially launched for trial operation, and in October of the same year, it passed the application performance assessment and acceptance by the user unit – CNOOC (China) Co., Ltd..
The project has shortened the technological gap between the health management technology of gas turbine in China and foreign manufacturers of gas turbines, breaking the technological and market monopoly of foreign manufacturers of gas turbine in this field. We have solved the “bottleneck” problem of gas turbine health management system and service that are highly dependent on imported unit manufacturers in China, built the intelligent operation and maintenance system for remote health management of gas turbine in China, and completed a set of health management and operation and maintenance service system for gas turbine with independent intellectual property rights. It has greatly enhanced the health management capabilities of key energy equipment, and indirectly enhanced the security level of energy data in China. The project achievement is that currently the only remote operation analysis, fault diagnosis, and expert support platform for gas turbines in China is built, which is in a leading position in China.
