CGT25-EA Gas Turbine Passes 4000-hour Industrial Operation Assessment

June 30, 2020

At 12:00 on June 10th, the first 25MW dual fuel gas turbine generator set GT25-EA independently developed by our team has been running for a total of 4000 hours and successfully passed industrial operation assessment at Penglai 19-3 central platform in Bohai Sea area of CNOOC, with performance parameters fully reaching the design index and expected performance.

Since being put into operation at the end of 2018, the Gas Turbine Generator unit has undertaken power supply tasks on site at the CNOOC Penglai 19-3 central platform. The unit operates stably and performs well. Meanwhile, it has completed multiple on-site oil and gas switching, with an average switching time of no more than 50 seconds, reaching the international advanced level.

With the joint efforts of China National Offshore Oil (China) Co., Ltd. and our team, the CGT25-EA gas turbine generator unit has successfully passed the 4000-hour industrial operation assessment, fully proving that the unit is capable of and ensuring the safe production of offshore oil and gas. This marks the successful stage of localization development and the conditions for comprehensive application, filling the gap in the domestic industry, which is of great significance for national energy major equipment to be independently controllable and ensure national energy security.
