On August 22nd, 2023, China Gas Turbine Academic Seminar&Industrial Development Conference was grandly held in Harbin. The conference was initiated and hosted by No.703 Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited and undertaken by CSIC Longjiang GH Gas Turbine Co., Ltd. More than 400 people from different companies, universities and research institutes in China and abroad attended the conference. Well-known experts and scholars gave more than 70 live speeches and made a fully exchange of knowledge, inspiration ,thoughts and wisdom.

The conference lasted for two days, with the theme of “Low-carbon Innovation and Empowerment”. Domestic and foreign industry experts, leading talents and entrepreneurs gathered in Harbin, where elites gathered to exchange and learn from each other and talk about development.

Academician Wen Xueyou and Academician Yang Desen of Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the meeting.

Lin Feng, Chairman of the Conference and Chairman of CSIC Longjiang GH Gas Turbine Co., Ltd., gave a welcome speech. Lin Feng pointed out that manufacturing is the lifeline of the national economy and the foundation of a strong country. Gas turbine is the most important thing in China and the “crown jewel” of manufacturing industry. At present, more and more fields such as offshore engineering, industrial drive, distributed energy and power generation are equipped with “Chinese heart”, but we need to be soberly aware that although we are accelerating the narrowing of the technological gap with international leading enterprises, at this stage, the innovation ecology of coordinated development of the industrial chain has not yet been fully formed. Technological innovation has gradually entered the “no man’s land” from the “deep water area”, and some areas are still facing severe ‘neck sticking” problems. The existing industrial system is not enough to support the urgent development demand.

Zhang Xiaoyan, Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Association made a speech. Zhang Xiaoyan said that Heilongjiang Science and Technology Association has been vigorously supporting the technological development of local scientific research centers and high-tech production enterprises. This conference brought together top experts in the field of gas turbines in China and integrated all elements of production, learning, research and use. It can be described as the highest-level academic exchange conference in the field of gas turbines in China, which receives high evaluation.

After the opening ceremony, academicians and well-known experts from home and abroad brought wonderful speeches. After the report, five sub-forums, namely, heat transfer and combustion, aerothermodynamics, materials and reliability, cycle and measurement and control, product application and technical service, were opened simultaneously. Individual academic reports were made one by one in each sub-forum, and experts in the sub-forum made wonderful comments on the advantages and disadvantages of the reports, and gave pertinent opinions on the contents of each reporter.

The conference provided a high-level, comprehensive, interdisciplinary and multi-field academic exchange platform for the majority of scientific research workers, realized the purpose of ideological exchange and academic dialogue, and highlighted the characteristics and effectiveness of our academic brand activities.
